Alissa Singerman
Social Worker, MSW
Bio
I am a registered social worker with the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ). I have several years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. My approach is attachment-based, drawing primarily on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a well-established, evidence-based model of psychotherapy. I also integrate other approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS) and talk therapy, depending on each client’s needs.
Approach
I support clients navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, low self-esteem, shame, trauma, and relationship challenges. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences. Within this space, I help clients move into, through, and beyond difficult emotions in a contained and supportive way. As clients begin to make sense of their inner world, they can develop greater self-compassion, resilience, and a more attuned relationship with themselves. I am deeply passionate about this work and feel privileged to support clients in making sense of their experiences and creating meaningful change in their lives.
